I’m a fully Southern backwoods city girl who’s ready to start a goat farm, a commune, a story, a larger nicer humane society in our little town, and an art gallery just for jewelry, from trade beads to the latest best thing. Imagine- Mexican hand-tooled sterling, Russian hand-painted lacquer pieces, Africa from the beginning to new dyed grass beads, Italian Murano art glass, Art Nouveau, treasures from sunken Spanish galleons, modern artist work of all imaginable kinds (Eni Oken (!) for starters)— I’d probably never emerge from such a place and would wind up drinking water from the fountain and surviving on snacks from the vending machine. How could you leave a jewelry museum?
I’m actually excited to be here on WordPress. Words jumping out into the world and all. It’s going to be very interesting to see what kind of trouble I can get into around here. If things look funky from time to time, it’s because I’m not technically technical when it comes to webbishness and there’s terminology that’s got to be dealt with. CSS, RSS, trackback somethings; widgets are ok, those are kinda self-explanatory so far. My jewelry pieces are there (here) and I feel kinda cozy and moved in cause they’re already here. I can’t wait to make new friends. Oh please- won’t you be my neighbor? Ok, Mr. Rogers is long gone but it does have a quaint sound to it.
I hope you’ll enjoy the blog. Let me know what you think!
